Switchwebs.com has been operating professionally since mid 2001, serving small to medium sized businesses, profit and non-profit organizations, institutions, and individuals seeking to obtain an Internet presence on the World Wide Web.
Greg Melanson is the owner and Webmaster at Switchwebs.com and has been designing web sites since early 1996, when the WWW was in its early stages of development. Greg lives in Hamilton, Ontario with his wife Jay and their 4 children, Danielle, Dara, Darcie and Daneen.
Greg has studied advanced web page design and advanced web graphics design at Hamilton's Mohawk College through their Webmaster Specialist program. He is also an 8 year member of the HTML Writers Guild and a 7 year certified member of the International Webmaster's Association.
Besides having a passion for building websites, Greg is also a dedicated Child & Youth Worker (Honours Grad from George Brown College, Toronto) with the Government of Ontario, working with hard-to-serve autistic and developmentally delayed children, adolescents and adults. Greg has been employed in this field for the past 21 years and currently works at it on a part time.
During the early nineties, Greg was a professional Pointilism artist (drawing solely with tiny dots). His specialty artwork was sold at numerous shows and several galleries across the eastern US and in Canada. It is likely the experience of being highly prolific at this type of art form that contributed to Greg's superb attention to detail in his website designs.
Since starting up Switchwebs, Greg has kept his main objective simple: remain competitive while providing high quality web sites at reasonable rates.
